Phi Gamma Delta, a fraternity better known as FIJI had it’s University of Arizona chapter shut down in 2014 and petitioned to be reinstated by the university. The fraternity was originally shut down after one of its members, Michael Evan Anderson, fell to his death off a cooling tower on Colonia Del Paz, a student dormitory. His blood alcohol level was reportedly twice the legal limit.

It’s unclear whether or not the fraternity was involved. The national chapter cut ties in 2014 due to this event and seven other chapter members were arrested on counts of providing alcohol to minors and misleading a police investigation.
