Five fraternities at the University of Arizona have come under fire and are being investigated for possible “code of conduct” violations.

According a quote from Kendal Washington White, dean of students, provided by Tucson.com, “Alpha Epsilon Pi and Kappa Sigma have been placed on interim loss of recognition status, pending the outcome of a code of conduct investigation.” Both fraternities are barred from hosting, attending, participating or sponsoring any events.
Alpha Kappa Lambda and Theta Delta Chi are on an interim activities suspension. Beta Theta Pi was placed on an activities suspension, which includes the restriction of contact with new members.
The reason for these investigations remains unknown to the public, but it is suspected to pertaining to either alcohol or harming other students.
