“Red Dot” was inspired by a code word spread by students at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. When a student would meet someone they could rank them based on how comfortable the person made them feel by dot color, green, yellow or red. If you ranked someone as a yellow or red dot, you could let another student know by using the code to them know the situation.

I wanted to start my own version of a “Red Dot” code for the University of Arizona. So, I have begun to search the internet for unsafe activity happening on campus that students are not necessarily made aware of. I made this website to allow people to reach spots they feel are red spots so they can be tagged and added to the map.

I want to promote a safer community for everyone on campus, and I hope the “Red Dot” project to be a start.
